NetCare has been
at the forefront of Restorative Practices in schools,
Restorative Justice in Youth Offending and Family Group
Conference in child welfare throughout Ireland and the
UK for many years.
NetCare have
helped to develop and promote the growing trend of partnership
practices throughout the education and social welfare
sector. We are the lead training organisation for Family
Group Conference (FGC) in Ireland and the UK.
Over the past three years
we have worked with 90% of the Health Boards in Eire,
providing training, consultancy and assistance with the
setting up of Family Welfare Conference Services as required
by legislation (Children's Act 2001).
We have worked with over 40
schools in the UK and Ireland in the use of Restorative
Practices and FGC to assist in the management of challenging
behaviour and in tackling truancy. Our successful programmes,
such as, Restorative Practices in schools, have helped
to address issues arising from conflict within the school
environment. Introducing FGC into schools has helped increase
the attendance rate of pupils by 61%.
We are presently developing programmes of intervention
for Youth Offending Teams, Education Authorities, Voluntary
and Statutory Organisations throughout the UK and Ireland.
