NetCare have been working with Youth Offending Teams in England and Ireland since 2001. We have helped develop processes, programmes and systems to assist more effective service delivery through consultation, training and service evaluation. We have also provided teams with Restorative Justice and Family Group Conference training and are at present the only organisation that delivers training specifically designed for YOT and community workers with young offenders as the primary service user.
Training courses include:
Restorative Justice Facilitators Course
Length of training: Five days
Course Content: Understanding of Restorative Practice Interventions, the history, philosophy, changing establishment ethos, introducing the concept into practice and the skills to facilitate Restorative meetings with or without the victims present.
*Costs include an unlimited telephone support to all participants during their first conference and up to six months following the first block of training and training manual.
Restorative Family Group Conference
Length of training: Five days
Course Content: Understanding of Restorative Family Group Conference, the history, philosophy, the use of private time, balancing the needs of the offender, the victim, family and community, family dynamics, group work skills, changing establishment ethos, introducing the concept into practice and the skills to facilitate Restorative meetings with or without the victims present.
*Costs include an unlimited telephone support to all participants during their first conference and up to six months following the first block of training and training manual.
Introduction to Restorative Justice
Length: One day
Includes: Presentation of Restorative Practice theory, research and implementation issues. Video and live Restorative Conference with and for participants.
Consultancy on Restorative Justice in the context of your environment.
Length: Depending on need
Includes: Meeting with staff and client group, assessment of practice needs and presentation of a full report detailing recommendations for training, implementation and development.
Family Group Conference Co-ordinators Course
Length of training: Five days
